Blackburn College, a unique four-year liberal arts college with a student-managed work program located in Carlinville, IL, seeks applicants for two part-time positions to start in the Fall Semester. One position will be the Part-time Head Men’s Cross Country Coach/Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach and the other position will be the Part-time Head Women’s Cross Country Coach/Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach. These positions are part-time (7 month/30 hours per week) renewable positions from August 16 through March 15 annually. The selected candidates will be responsible for directing and implementing all aspects of their prospective cross-country programs and assisting with all aspects of their prospective basketball programs. Position responsibilities include the direction of team development, training and instruction in practice and competition, building competitive programs, management of program budgets, driving the team van and student recruitment. The selected candidates will have demonstrated skills and experience in coaching with a strong commitment to NCAA D-III philosophy, excellent communication skills (written and oral) and the ability to positively motivate student-athletes and prospective recruits. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a driving record in compliance with Blackburn College policy.
