The University of South Dakota is seeking applicants for an Assistant Coach/Softball Pitching Coach. Preference will be given to candidates with pitching and pitching coach experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the head coach in all aspects of managing a NCAA Division I softball program including but not limited to: recruitment of prospective student-athletes; training and development of team/players on and off the field; liaison for academics and other departments on campus; assisting with camp and clinics, and administration. Candidate must have a commitment to upholding the academic and athletic mission of the University. All responsibilities must be in compliance with NCAA, conference and university policy and procedures.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, master’s preferred. Preferred candidates must have collegiate softball playing experience, collegiate softball pitching experience, strong interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate with all members of the university community. Selected candidate must successfully pass a background check and NCAA recruiting examination.
