The Department is seeking an individual with experience in working within a community of diverse students and colleagues. Successful candidates will by their administrative, professional skills, leadership and service demonstrate they can contribute to the diversity and excellence of athletics, the department and our community. This part-time faculty position is not benefits eligible and is appointed on an annual basis.
Assistant Track & Field Responsibilities: Assist the Head Coach with all aspects of the Cross Country and Track & Field program. Duties include but are not limited to teaching and coaching of student-athletes at daily practices and team competitions, and recruitment of qualified student-athletes. This position will work primarily to lead and develop our throws group but experience in additional event areas is a strong plus.
Bachelor’s degree is required. Previous experience as a high school or college coach and/or a strong background as a track & field athlete are preferred. USATF Level 1 certification or higher preferred. CPR, AED, and First Aid certification required upon hire. Must possess a valid US driver license. This position requires a background check including driving record. Salary: This is a part time (.15 FTE, no benefits) nine month position. Start Date is August 1, 2018
