The University of Missouri is now accepting applications for the position of Media Producer I - SEC Network. This is a full-time, benefit eligible position that will be responsible for assisting with the production and direction of short-term informational, educational and promotional video and multi-media projects for coaches, staff and students within the department of Intercollegiate Athletics and to provide production support and expertise for the SEC Mizzou Network. Additionally, this position may produce and directs video materials which will include researching and writing scripts, identifying and scheduling needs for locations, cast, crew and equipment; story boarding, shooting, editing and post production supervision; position will act as the creative content lead for Mizzou Athletics when it comes to in-venue video materials such as hype videos, intro videos, features, commercials and public service announcements; provide production support and counsel to coaches, student-athletes and staff; serve as liaison between University, SEC and NCAA ensuring that all productions are in compliance with established rules and regulations; assist with distribution of University video productions, including acquiring broadcast time and supervising the distribution of those videos; assist with the recruitment and orientation of part-time staff; may develop and/or coordinate work schedules; assist television and radio new crews, providing technical assistance with lighting, audio mixing, background tapes, etc.; shoot and produce video news clips and perform other related duties or responsibilities as assigned. A High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is necessary. A minimum of at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications or a related area or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities may be acquired. A minimum of two years' experience in film and/or television production with one year in a supervisory capacity is desired. Valid driver's license is required.
