Marist College invites applications for a part-time Athletics Communications Assistant. The Assistant will work under the direction of the Assistant AD/Sports Information in coverage of Marist Athletics through writing, social media, stat keeping, web site maintenance, and archive work. The Assistant will be directly responsible for coverage of assigned sports and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Communications or related field or equivalent experience. Experience with all forms of digital media including website, social media, video and mobile. Strong writing and digital media skills; ability to communicate effectively with coaches, media and staff; experience with Division I sports information departments. Experience with editing software, preferably Avid. Experience with Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, StatCrew, and Microsoft Word. Knowledge of web page maintenance, video streaming, maintaining statistics, photography and layout methods. Ability to work with social media platforms. Certification in CPR/First Aid/AED required prior to completion of probation period.
