The Athletic Department at Indiana Tech serves as an integral part of the university and is an important participant in its mission. The commitment of the Athletics department is to enhance the student experience and to provide quality programs that are competitive, fun and meaningful in an atmosphere that promotes success within the spirit of fair play, sportsmanship and integrity.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
• Plan, develop and administer the women’s lacrosse program. • Prepare and effectively and responsibly administer the program budget. • Support the mission, vision, and strategic plan of Indiana Institute of Technology. • Formulate and administer team policies within shared philosophy in institution and department. • Select, supervise and mentor assistant coaches for the program. • Purchase needed equipment and supplies necessary for short term and long term objectives of program, maintain appropriate inventory. • Prepare, maintain and schedule facilities for practices, games and meetings in collaboration with other field coaches and physical plant staff. • Publicize the program in collaboration with Sports Information Office and University Communications and Marketing. • Be available for secondary assignments within the department as assigned by the Director of Athletics. • Provide a written evaluation of the program at the conclusion of each season.
Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred. Previous college lacrosse coaching required, 3-5 years preferred.
