Position Status: Full-Time
Position Summary: Weight Room. The Head Strength and Conditioning Coach oversees a comprehensive sport specific training plan for each sport, instructing and teaching student athletes correct techniques and ensuring each sport is trained in the proper way.
Instructs and teaches student athletes the proper way of training, evaluating athlete's skill and performance to determine their fitness and potential in that particular area.
Hires, trains, supervises, and mentors assistant, graduate assistants, and undergraduate assistant coaches.
Manages department budget and expenses.
Coordinates weight room schedule and assigned staff to meet the needs of each individual sport.
Orders nutritional supplements and equipment.
Maintains upkeep and maintenance of the equipment in each facility and works collaboratively and communicates effectively with coaches and staff in the athletic department.
Minimum Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree; certified strength and conditioning specialist; certified CPR and AED

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Effective communication (verbal and written), organization and human relations skills; ability to work well in a diverse environment; proficiency with computer and Microsoft Office Applications software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases; legally authorized to work in the United States; successful completion of background investigation prior to employment.
Preferred Education: Master’s Degree
Preferred Experience:: Experience working in the sport of baseball
