Provide mental health psychology services, drug counseling, mental health assessments and education to student-athletes and sports programs. Provide education and prevention programming on clinical psychological issues to student athletes, coaches, athletic department staff, and other constituents. Will need to work some evenings and weekends depending on student-athletes’ needs and schedules.
Minimum requirements: PhD or PsyD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology required. Two years’ experience providing mental health services to student-athletes in an individual and team environment required. Demonstrated competency (e.g., academic training, supervised experience) in sport science and proven experience working with multiple sports essential. Clinical/prevention experience in the areas of eating disorders/disordered eating and substance abuse necessary. Eligibility to be licensed as a psychologist in the state of Nebraska required. Preferred: Prefer two years’ experience providing mental health services to student-athletes at a NCAA Division I institution.
