Position Status: Full-Time
Position Summary: Women's Cross Country Track. The Assistant Athletics Coach assists the Head Coach in the recruitment, training, and administration of the Women's Track & Field and Cross Country Program.
Leads coaching of distance program.
Assists with the development of team strategy and analyzes performance of student-athletes.
Assists in the planning and coordinating of meet and practice schedules.
Leads scouting and recruiting efforts for the Women's Cross Country Track.
Counsels and advises student-athletes.
Provides home meet management and travel coordination.
Follows all federal, divisional, and University athletics regulations, to include rules and regulations established by the Sun Belt Conference and the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA).
Minimum Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree

Minimum Experience Required: Two or more years of collegiate coaching and/or playing experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Effective communication (verbal and written), organization and human relations skills; ability to work well in a diverse environment; proficiency with computer and Microsoft Office Applications software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases; legally authorized to work in the United States; successful completion of background investigation prior to employment.
Preferred Experience:: Division I coaching experience
