Alfred University seeks a full-time Men's & Women's Tennis Coach/Life Skills Coordinator. In this 10-month position, the Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach will be responsible for all facets of the tennis program for a Division III institution and member of the Empire 8 Conference, the ECAC, and the NCAA, including recruitment and selection of student-athletes; promotion of academic progress of student-athletes by working closely with support groups on campus; and management and maintenance of balanced budget. As a Life Skills Coordinator, this position will assist in all areas of immersion for the first-year Alfred University student-athletes into the campus and community. Primary focus will be on providing assistance in the areas of time management skills; introduction to campus life and support systems; study skills; balance between class and athletic schedules; financial literacy; personal health and wellness and establishing a network of peers and mentors. This incumbent must be able to interact both one-on-one with students as well as putting together group sessions to aid in the students successful transition to Alfred University as well as assist in career planning. Incumbent will work closely with the University's Assistant Dean for new student programs. Additional coaching duties may be assigned.
