Job Purpose Towson University, a Division I member of the Colonial Athletic Association, is accepting applications for an Equipment Assistant. This position will provide assistance to the management of the equipment rooms.
Description The Equipment Assistant will receive, issue and inventory team equipment and uniforms. This position will be responsible for the storage and organization of team uniforms and equipment; laundering of uniforms and practice gear. Assists with game and practice operations related to equipment. Ensures minor repairs of equipment. Performs other duties as assigned by the Equipment Managers.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree and some experience with equipment operations, which can include time as student equipment staff or student manager. Knowledge of football and football practice operations, basic math skills, spreadsheet creation, communication skills and problem solving skills.
A Criminal Background Investigation is required for the hired candidate and the results may impact employment.
Salary and Benefits $10.10/hour and a contract that offers annual leave, holidays, sick days. Contractual employees scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week may be eligible for subsidized health benefits coverage. The position is contingent on funds being available at time of hire.
