Assistant Track and Field Coach - Jumps and/or Sprints
Springfield College invites applications for an Assistant Track and Field Coach - Jumps and/or Sprints. The qualified applicant will report to the Head Coach of Men's and Women's Track and Field. This position is a full-time, ten-month position beginning August 1, 2018. Preference will be given to applicants who can bring diverse perspectives to this growing department and who are motivated to help students succeed.
The individual will assist in all phases of the Men's and Women's Track and Field program including competition and practice planning (traditional and non-traditional season), mentoring of students, recruitment and development of student-athletes, equipment, contests, social media and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach. Additionally, a thorough understanding of and accountability to NCAA, NEWMAC, and institutional rules and regulations is necessary.
•Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred), from an accredited institution, preferably in Physical Education or a related discipline. Preference will be given to applicants with college coaching experience and/or experience as a college track and field student-athlete.
•A valid driver's license and CPR/AED are required.
