Boise State University invites interested applicants for the position of Head Beach Volleyball Coach. The successful applicant will become part of our team as we build a Metropolitan Research University of Distinction. The individual in this position will be responsible to help run and maintain a Division I program through recruiting, coaching/teaching techniques, monitoring academic progress, as well as promoting the sport throughout the University and local community. Any violation of a conference or NCAA regulation, as well as those policies of the University, could cause dismissal of a participant or staff member, as well as, create negative publicity and/or conference or NCAA standings to the program and institution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Have coaching responsibility for the Beach Volleyball Team.
This position will report to the Head Volleyball Coach, who oversees the direction of both the indoor and beach programs.
Assist in the program’s on and off campus recruiting efforts.
Mentor and assist in the overall development of student-athletes.
Complete administrative work to including team travel and business operations functions for both the Indoor Volleyball and Beach Volleyball programs as designated by the Head Volleyball Coach.
Oversee and manage community service and events for the program.
Be instrumental in organizing, developing and running Beach Volleyball camps.
This position must pass the NCAA Recruiting Eligibility test annually.
Be responsible for maintaining NCAA, Conference and Boise State rules Compliance.
This position will be required to work nights and weekends and travel when necessary.

Three (3) years of volleyball coaching and/or playing experience
Experience and understanding of NCAA Rules and Regulations regarding compliance issues
Knowledge of individual and team skills with the ability to teach these skills
Excellent written, interpersonal and oral communication skills
Experience coaching volleyball at the collegiate level
Five (5) years of volleyball coaching and/or playing experience
