Quinnipiac University's invites applications for the full-time position of Assistant Coach for Women's Softball to help administer all phases of softball and program management with an emphasis on player development, recruitment and coordination of a collegiate softball program. During the period of appointment, this position will report to the Head Softball Coach.
The University is a member of the Eastern College Athletic Conference Hockey League (ECAC), the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), the Big East Conference and is an NCAA Division I member sponsoring 21 varsity sports.

Coach student-athletes during team practices as well as home and away contests
Primarily responsible for the instruction of pitchers
Assist with recruiting (on and off campus as assigned), scheduling, budget administration and team promotion
Assist in the future development of Women's Softball alumni and community relations
Assist the Head Coach with daily/weekly/seasonal practice planning
Adhere to the highest standards of academic integrity and work in compliance with all University, NCAA, MAAC Conference, ECAC Conference and Big East Conference rules and regulations
Other duties, as assigned
Bachelor's degree required. Master's preferred.
2-3 years successful softball playing and/or coaching experience (college level preferred)
Experience with program management and player development
Strong communication skills
Demonstrate a proven aptitude for coaching as illustrated by a strong work ethic, and organizational skills
Duty to interact professionally within the department, the campus and the national softball community
Flexibility to work nights and weekends as required
Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations and/or a commitment to diversity and inclusion
