Partner with the head coach to support a program that seeks to develop and challenge student-athletes as competitors and as individuals. Manage a diverse set of responsibilities including, but not limited to the following: teach high level softball fundamentals & strategies to student-athletes. Assist with camps & clinics. Assist with the overall planning & organization of the softball program. Assist with student-athlete recruitment at the Regional & National level. Act as the community service liaison. Communicate effectively and respectfully with students, staff, administration and alumni.
Successful background in playing and/or coaching, preferably at the collegiate level.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Excellent organizational time-management skills
Preferred, but not required, ability to catch pitchers and throw or learn to throw batting practice.
Preferred, but not required, ability to instruct or learn to instruct outfield positions.
Additional Salary Information: This position is a two year assignment. Compensation includes full tuition and a stipend.
