Washington State University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is accepting applications for the position of Compliance Coordinator (Student Services Coordinator/Advisor 1). Under the direction of the Assistant Athletic Director of Compliance, this position is responsible for monitoring compliance with National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), Pac-12 Conference, and Washington State University bylaws, rules, and regulations, regarding recruiting, eligibility, and admissions.
This position will independently interpret and apply complex rules to a broad range of situations. This position will work primarily with students, coaches, and administrators.

Minimum Qualifications: Positions require a Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year?for?year basis. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Must possess, or be able to obtain at time of hire, a valid driver’s license. Ability and willingness to work nights and weekends on an occasional basis.
Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree in a related field. One year employment or equivalent experience with NCAA compliance. Strong computer background with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, LSDBI, Compliance Assistant Software, ARMS or other relevant software. Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA Division I and Pac-12 rules. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups. Demonstrated ability to work independently under pressure and the ability to meet deadlines. Demonstrated work-related experiences that require strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
