This 10-month internship position will assist the Multimedia Department in the creation of content for Conference USA social media outlets. Competency with Adobe Creative Cloud programs required, specifically either video software (Premiere/After Effects) or design software (Photoshop/Illustrator); proficiency with both sets of software and experience creating both video and graphics content a plus. Desire to learn new methods, programs, and skills related to social media management and content creation required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Assist Multimedia Department with social media coverage and promotion of C-USA events, schools, and student-athletes through the creation and posting of still graphics and video content
•Work with Multimedia team to produce video content, including but not limited to highlight/hype videos, animations, interviews, feature stories, and management/creation of compelling video content for social media distribution
•Assist in development of graphics and still imagery to be used on conference social media platforms
•Serve as backup/on-call social media contact
•Collaborate and coordinate social media promotions between C-USA and schools or multimedia partners
•Assist conference office, member schools, and multimedia partners in obtaining and distributing video highlights
•Work with Marketing/Branding/Communications teams to create content for various league events, such as championships, contests, website, etc.
•Work in collaborative environment to develop new ideas, establish social media voice, and maintain posting calendar/schedule
•Adhere to branding/style guidelines for C-USA, member institutions, media partners, and corporate sponsors
•Work to help identify and communicate Conference USA messages and stories through the website as well as traditional and social media platforms
•Work with media/marketing/promotions team to develop and implement ideas to promote the Conference, member schools, and corporate partners on all multimedia platforms
•Provide assistance at Conference events such as Media Days, Championship events, etc.
•Some travel required
•Work on nights and weekends required

The... league promotes the scholar-athlete ideal, honoring outstanding academic achievement with numerous conference-sponsored awards, including the Commissioner’s Honor Roll and the Commissioner’s Academic Medal as well as sport-specific All-Academic teams.
C-USA annually awards postgraduate scholarships, along with the Sport Academic Awards, Scholar-Athletes of the Year and the Institutional Academic Excellence Award. Additionally, Conference USA presents a Spirit of Service Award three times each year, recognizing student-athletes who excel on the field, in the classroom and give back to the community through significant service efforts and participation.
The conference’s footprint is concentrated with 14 members in 10 states and a combined area population of more than 30 million. With a commitment to community involvement, the conference developed several initiatives to maintain strong ties in C-USA cities, as well as with fans and alumni across the country. C-USA schools also place a priority on giving back to their communities through volunteer service with local and national organizations. Individually, student-athletes are recognized each season through the Spirit of Service award.
