Frostburg State University Athletics Department is accepting applications for a full-time Swimming Intern position to begin summer 2018. This is a 40-hour-per-week, one-year internship which is renewable for an additional year based on performance. Hourly rate $10.33 with limited benefits included.
FSU boasts 21 varsity sports (10 men/11 women) at the NCAA Division III level that compete in the Capital Athletic Conference and the New Jersey Athletic Conference. Swimming started in the 1979-80 season and has totaled 13 All-Americans. Over the last two seasons, the Bobcat swimming programs have seen a resurgence on the national stage; the men and women combined have won 41 meets during that time. The Bobcats also continue to surge in the CAC standings as the women finished in third place and the men in fifth at this year’s championship meet.
Responsibilities: Assist the Head Coach with coaching and supervision of the Men’s and Women’s Swimming Teams. Help monitor and advise student-athletes to ensure academic success. Assist in evaluation and recruitment of prospective student-athletes. Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and one year of coaching or other related work experience. Previous competing experience at the collegiate level.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree and/or two years of coaching experience.
