Concordia University Wisconsin Athletic Communications Graduate Assistant
Concordia University Wisconsin, an NCAA Division III institution location in Mequon, Wis., seeks qualified candidates for a graduate assistant position in the Department of Athletic Communications. Concordia University Wisconsin has a highly-successful, 32-sport athletic department.
Minimum / Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required; preferred in communications, journalism, sports management or related field
Two years’ experience in intercollegiate athletic communications/sports information
Experience in desktop publishing with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and video editing software
Candidates should possess strong written and oral communications skills
Experience with Stat Crew software
All candidates should possess an ability to meet deadlines and work night/weekends
Responsibilities include, but are not confined to:
Serve as the primary contact for selected Concordia University Wisconsin sports, while aiding in the coverage of other in-season sports
Conduct all aspects of pre-game, in-game and post-game coverage for assigned sports
Assisting in the day-to-day athletic communication office operations
Writing, editing and publishing press releases, game stories, game previews and feature stories
Producing athletics publications, such as game programs and brochures
Managing content on our athletic website (CUWFalcons.com)
Compiling and distributing statistics, and archiving statistics
Producing and editing video packages, highlights and post-game interviews
Assisting in the live video broadcast production
Maintaining Concordia University Wisconsin’s athletics social media accounts – @CUWFalcons – (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube)
Starting Date This two-year graduate assistantship has an estimated starting date of August 1, 2018 and must meet the admission requirements for Concordia University Wisconsin’s Graduate School.
Compensation Concordia University Wisconsin offers a competitive stipend.
