Wright State University seeks applications for a Director of External Engagement. Primary responsibilities include oversight of the annual campaign, coordination of the premium seating and parking program, planning all donor/former student-athlete events and management of a donor portfolio. He/she will solicit gifts ranging from $100 to $10,000 to support WSU Athletics, facilities and programmatic objectives.

Req’d: A bachelor’s degree. 3 years of marketing, sales, development, promotions or, 3 years of experience in an intercollegiate athletics department. Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices associated with fundraising and business development. Ability to make an excellent first impression and develop sound, enduring relationships with a broad range of people. Proficiency in standard computer platforms and software applications (i.e. word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, desktop publishing, etc.) Strong organizational skills and attention to detail is essential. Must work well individually and in a team environment. Ability to ask for and close gifts. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a deadline-driven environment. Possess the highest standards of integrity, credibility and reliability. Evening/weekend work hours may be required.
