HEAD COACH - BASEBALL Baseball Pos. # 511030 Req. # P418 RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee, direct, and maintain the University’s NCAA Division I baseball program. Duties include but are not limited to: enhance and maintain a quality competitive baseball program by recruiting quality NCAA Division I student athletes who can compete in the field and in the classroom; scheduling a competitive Division I schedule; develop team and individual practice sessions to develop team success; oversee individual skill instruction; organize and arrange team travel plans; budget funds, and monitor academic progress to ensure team success. Serve as a positive role model, counseling and advising student athletes; participate in fund raising activities; engage in community service; attend alumni and university functions; oversee and promote compliance of NCAA rules among staff and student athletes, and supervision of student athletes and staff. Teach part time in HPERS department and perform other related special projects as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred. Two (2) years of high school, college, and/or professional coaching experience required. Proven ability to recruit academically and athletically qualified student athletes and demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations required.
