Job Description: SUNY Delhi seeks a dynamic, forward thinking and engaging Women's Assistant Soccer Coach to join our department of athletics. Under the direction of the head women's soccer coach, the assistant coach will have responsibilities within all aspects of program management including, but not limited to: practice and game preparation, recruiting, scheduling of team travel and meals, coordination of film review sessions, planning of team activities, scouting reports on opponents, camps and clinics, driving 12-15 passenger van for away games, game day and practice facility set-up, academic monitoring, and fundraising coordination. Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree; 1 - 2 years of experience coaching soccer at a competitive level
Strong background in soccer skill analysis and techniques
Commitment to the academic success of student-athletes
Experience in motivating players to achieve maximum levels of performance
Evidence of ability to interact positively with student-athletes, parents, colleagues and the public
Demonstration of effective oral and written communication skills
Must be reliable, dependable, and passionate about soccer and value attention to detail
Commitment to the philosophy of intercollegiate athletics at SUNY Delhi
Must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to travel for games and recruitment, etc.
Current CPR/First Aid Certification
Knowledge or experience with NCAA DIII rules and regulations
Starting and ending dates: August 6, 2018 - November 19, 2018
SL-2 part time, 4-mo period of obligation. Salary $4,000
Work Schedule: Part-time, travel is required
