Misericordia University seeks candidates for a Defensive Coordinator / Asst. Football Coach / Strength & Conditioning Coach. The Assistant Football Coach will support and offer assistance to the head coach in all facets of the sports program to include a strong knowledge of defensive coaching strategies and oversee all aspects of the team defense. This position will assist in the recruitment of quality student-athletes, retention of student-athletes, organization and planning of all practices, game preparation, administrative tasks, etc. As the Strength and Conditioning Coach this position will provide strength and conditioning programs for all of Misericordia University’s intercollegiate student athletes and teams by designing programs that are sport specific in nature, safety conscious, and in accordance with NCAA Division III compliance standards.

A Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university is required. Prior playing or coaching experience at the college, university, or professional level and demonstrated athletic leadership experience is necessary. Successful candidates will have strong administrative, managerial, and interpersonal skills, as well as background in coaching the offensive line and video editing systems. Experience in strength & conditioning is desired.
