The Director of Membership will create and drive strategy, leadership and engagement to grow and retain a vibrant member community which is the heartbeat of the Alliance. The Director of Membership implements initiatives to engage coaches, allies, institutions, conferences, coach and administrator associations, in the ever-broadening work of the Alliance. This full-time position reports directly to and works closely with the Executive Director.
Location: Anywhere, United States; work from home; no relocation necessary
Membership Community •Create short-term and long-term strategy and initiatives for member recruitment and engagement across all levels of Alliance constituents, including both in-person and virtual approaches •Lead all membership growth and retention efforts oDevelop and execute a plan for membership growth at all levels, including: -Promote and significantly grow our membership across all levels and types, including individual and group memberships at NCAA, NAIA, two-year college, high school, club/youth, and professional levels -Identify and build relationships with sport coaches associations, national governing bodies, and other organizations key to serving female coaches -Develop strategy to onboard all new members oDevelop and execute a plan for increased membership retention -Work with Director of Business Operations to define and manage a streamlined renewal process including follow-up and other personal touch points -Generate content, resources, and programming to keep Alliance offerings relevant -Conduct member surveys and/or other feedback mechanisms for assessing our programs and resources -Develop strategy to specifically engage NCAA Women Coaches Academy graduates •Coordinate the Alliance’s mentor program
Events •Assist on-site with select events, including but not limited to the NCAA Women Coaches Academy, Regional Workshops, and networking receptions at sport association/coaching conventions •Assist with development of member surveys, tracking mechanisms, needs analysis, and post-event follow-up
General •Serve as liaison to Board of Directors or other committees representing our membership community •Other duties as assigned

Experience in membership, fundraising, alumni development, external relations, or non-profit setting for 5+ years preferred, inclusive of 3 years senior level leadership experience preferred
Proven strategic thinker who can develop and execute paramount strategies and processes
Demonstrated broad network within intercollegiate athletics and/or sport governing bodies
Ability to thrive autonomously and be productive in a virtual environment while meeting deadlines and metrics with minimal supervision
Remarkable track record for leading successful initiatives with measurable results
Advanced written, oral and interpersonal communication skills to represent the organization positively to multiple internal and external constituents, donors and campus and sport community leadership.
Excellent people and relationship skills and ability to work as a cohesive member of a small, but highly motivated team emphasizing collaboration
Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, passion and commitment to the mission
High capability to work within a fast-moving environment with competing priorities, while also being resourceful and skillful in determining solutions
Strong computer/software skills
Ability to travel to Alliance events or meetings as needed. Requires occasional weekends and nights.
