The Texas State University Athletics Department, a member of the Sun Belt Conference, is seeking applications for an Assistant Director of Development (Athletics Intern). This position is full time and benefits-eligible and reports to the Director of Development.
This position will be responsible for managing and serving as primary contact for all game day hospitality area operations as well as planning all aspects of Bobcat Club events throughout the year including donor luncheons, dinners and the department’s annual auction benefit Bobcat Bonanza. The position will hire, train and supervise student interns; solicit potential gift-in-kind program partners and maintain program; oversee all social media and website content; coordinate member benefits fulfillment; manage collateral creation and yearly appeals (direct mail, email, video, phone, etc.) for the athletic development office; and perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications: skill in preparing documents and spreadsheets, particularly skill using Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to write clear, concise and grammatically correct correspondence, reports and letters; ability to prioritize workload and delegate or adjust as necessary; ability to read, understand and interpret general university and department policies and procedures; ability to work nights and both days of the weekend.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree with additional consideration for a Master’s Degree, development or sales experience, prior experience working in a collegiate athletic department or equivalent professional setting, experience with donor software and fundraising reporting, event management experience, experience with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop.
