Hiram College invites applications for the position of Graduate Assistant in men’s volleyball. The successful candidate will be actively involved in the recruitment, retention, and day to day operations of the Hiram College men’s volleyball program. Hiram College is a member of the North Coast Athletic Conference and NCAA Division III. The position includes; room, board, and living stipend of $5,000.00, and a tuition waiver to enroll in the Professional Graduate Studies Program at Hiram College. The anticipated start date is August 1, 2018. Responsibilities: The intern’s duties will include but not be limited to: Assisting the head coach with all facets of training, recruiting, and retention for the Hiram College men’s volleyball program. The Graduate Assistant will also have responsibilities within our campus Recreation Program, athletic laundry and intramural program. Minimum Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree is required. Prior experience as a collegiate volleyball player or having worked in college volleyball is preferred but not necessary. Exceptional attention to detail, well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with all persons regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, and physical challenges. Applicant must demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented office environment and interact in a positive manner with students, faculty, staff, visitors, and the public. Admission into the School of Professional & Graduate Studies is a requirement for consideration for this position.
