Ability to adhere to Marshall, NCAA, and C-USA rules. Must have strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, strong leadership capabilities and the ability to set appropriate professional boundaries with student-athletes. Candidates must be able to work with a diverse population of student-athletes. They must also be reliable, possess a strong work ethic, have the ability to work independently and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Must be available to work some nights and weekends. Some tutoring may be required from graduate assistants for student-athletes. Graduate Assistants will be responsible for monitoring the academic center during operating hours. Assist academic counselors as needed.
A desire to pursue a career in student-athlete development/academics is preferred.
Must be accepted into a Master’s program at Marshall.
Must be able to perform all essential job duties as outlined in the job description.
Prior experience working in academics/student-athlete development is preferred but not required. Preference will be given to those looking to pursue a career within student-athlete development/academics.
