The New York Red Bulls are one of 23 teams in Major League Soccer (MLS) in 2018. They are one of the ten charter clubs of MLS, having competed in the league since its founding in 1996. The club plays home matches at Red Bull Arena (RBA) in Harrison, New Jersey. RBA, a state-of-the-art 25,000-seat stadium, is widely regarded as the top soccer-specific stadium in North America. The club is owned by the Austrian beverage company Red Bull GmbH for which the team is named. The Red Bulls have made the MLS Cup Playoffs in eight straight seasons, and in 14 of the last 15 years. New York won the MLS Supporters’ Shield in 2013 and 2015, and has finished atop the Eastern Conference in three of the last five years. The New York Red Bulls offer one of the nation's premier youth soccer development programs, from local soccer partnerships across New York and New Jersey to Regional Development Schools and the Red Bulls Academy teams, which annually rank amongst the best U.S. Soccer Development Academy programs in the nation.
This is an unpaid, for credit internship (proof that you will receive credit is required). The internship is designed to provide experience working specifically within the Regional Development School (RDS). Interns will learn how the RDS operates and have responsibilities that assist the department in a number of current and new initiatives on a daily basis. Each interns will also be given an ongoing individual project, and will present their findings at the conclusion of the internship.

Position is well-suited for candidates seeking to gain further experience in sports management, operations, and/or elite level pre-academy soccer.
Model candidate will demonstrate a keen interest in soccer, and Major League Soccer in particular.
Must be well-organized and independent.
Ability to manage and operate multiple tasks.
Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
Driver’s license and means of transportation preferable, but not essential.
Due to the cyclical nature of the entertainment industry, the employee may be required to work varying
schedules to reflect the business needs of the company.

About New York Red Bulls
The New York Red Bulls Youth Programs are the grassroots player development and training system for New York Red Bulls professional soccer team. Operating as RBNY Academy the player development structure is used to provide soccer training to young players in the local communities, support club development and to scout and develop talented youth players. The overall youth player development set up comprises a reserve team, academy teams, regional development schools, and grassroots youth training programs. The grassroots training programs are the foundation of our youth developmental pyramid and provide seasonal training programs and summer camps to over 40,000 players each year. Within our grassroots programs we employee over 100 coaches annually who work with players ages 5 to 16 years.
