The University of Tennessee Athletics Tennessee Fund office is seeking a Development Assistant for a one-year term appointment. (3 positions)
Highly self-motivated person with a bachelor’s degree and at least one year in intercollegiate athletics development, marketing or sales and knowledge of intercollegiate athletics. Master’s degree preferred. Computer, phone and demonstrated organizational skills necessary. Position involves travel, weekend and after hours work.
*Develop and maintain donor relationships. *Assist with incoming and outgoing phone calls. *Assist with soliciting gifts and selling football and men’s/women’s basketball tickets. *Assist directors with various special events and game days. *Plan, manage, and oversee Tennessee Fund Day. *Check Tennessee Fund general email and general voice mail and respond to inquiries. *Assist with capital project document updates. *Assist with the management of 12 – 15 student workers (grad and undergrad) *Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Related Duties and Responsibilities:
*Attend all assigned meetings. *Assist with mailings. *Greet visitors and perform facility tours. *Experience with Adobe PhotoShop and/or Illustrator preferred.
The Development Assistant serves 40 hours a week, and nights and weekends are required. It is a one-year term position.
