The University at Albany, a member of the America East Conference, invites applications for a full-time (12-month) position as Assistant Field Hockey Coach. The Assistant Coach will assist the Head Coach in all phases of a Division I program. This includes, but is not limited to: recruitment and retention of academically and athletically qualified student-athletes; overall program administration; alumni, community and media relations; practice and game coaching and compliance with University, NCAA and America East Conference rules and regulations.
Bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Dept. of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization
Previous successful (nationally ranked) D-I collegiate field hockey coaching experience (three year minimum) and/or D-I nationally ranked playing experience
Goalkeeper coaching experience
Must have high-level international recruiting networks and be knowledgeable of international (top league/1st Division) recruitment
Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, effective oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of and commitment to NCAA rules are essential.
A demonstrated ability to recruit and work with culturally diverse groups of people is required.
Must be available to work evenings and weekends and travel.
Employer will assist with relocation costs.
