Dartmouth seeks a Managing Director to work with the Senior Managing Director for Class Fundraising to develop a comprehensive and coordinated fund-raising plan for Dartmouth College Athletics. The Managing Director will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and management to alumni volunteers and staff, securing and stewarding annual Athletic gifts from a diverse constituency, and developing an integrated marketing and communications strategy for athletic fundraising.
Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree with at least five years of experience in fundraising, preferably in an annual fund setting or a higher education, athletics campaign environment. This position requires a dedicated, self-motivated and results-oriented development professional with excellent communication, marketing, and negotiation skills, volunteer leadership and management skills, and demonstrated success in soliciting, closing and stewarding gifts. In addition, the Managing Director must be goal oriented, creative and open to new ideas and have the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Technical literacy; strong experience with desktop and database applications is important with demonstrated analytical and strategic thinking capabilities. Staff management experience and knowledge of athletics is required.
