This is an internship position that will participate in managing the student-athlete development, career counseling, life skills programs and awards/recognition programs. Position will be directly supervised and trained by upper level staff as the intern learns the business student services programs in athletics. This individual will learn how to develop and implement programs designed to address the needs of IU student-athletes focused on academic, career, and personal development.
Note: This is a one year internship beginning August 1, 2018 through July 31, 2019.
Position requires incumbent to comply fully with all NCAA, Big Ten (or other conference) and Indiana University rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, student development or related field.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal ind ability to interact and communicate with a wide variety of diverse individuals. Strong organizational and multitasking skills including the ability to work in a fast paced team environment.
Prefer previous experience in student services.
