This position is responsible for assisting the Head Men’s Wrestling Coach with all aspects of program management. In addition to coaching duties, extensive recruiting responsibilities, administrative duties and planning are involved. Ability to motivate prospective and current student-athletes. Required to advise and act as role-model for current student-athletes. The work is to be performed under the general supervision of and reports to the head coach.
A Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Successful college wrestling experience, possession of good interpersonal and communication, organizational skills, and computer/technological competency preferred. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate effectiveness in coaching college level athletes, good supervisory skills, and the ability to relate to students in a leadership role. Additionally, understanding of student athletes in a demanding academic environment and a commitment to the highest ideals of leadership, sportsmanship and academics are required.
