UCF Athletics at the University of Central Florida, an NCAA Division I institution and American Athletic Conference (The American) member, is seeking applications for the position of Assistant Director of #Content.
Under the direction of the Assistant A.D., #Content, this position assists in the creation, implementation, and monitoring of strategic marketing and promotional campaigns to increase the visibility of the UCF athletics program with students, alumni, fans, and general public.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Creates assets through Photoshop, After Effects, and Illustrator to be used across multiple digital channels • Curates content from 16 varsity sports to distribute on the main athletics Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts • Effectively communicates with multiple areas within the external department to best capture and relay news, department highlights, event and ticket promotions, and additional information as assigned • Assists the Director of Athletics, coaching staffs and student-athletes with digital communications initiatives in order to extend custom content across multiple platforms • Tracks and applies social media analytics to ensure quality and sound plan strategies. • Utilizes "outside the box" thinking and creativity to create content that is both informative and engaging • Contributes to the development and construction of in-house microsites • Stays current to industry trends and ensures that UCF remains at the forefront of the digital media landscape
Minimum qualifications: Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two (2) years of appropriate experience. Due to the responsibilities of this position, must be able to work nights / weekends. Prefer a degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or related field and experience in web and graphic design. Adobe Creative Suite software, strong attention to detail, communication and organizational skills also preferred.
