Radford University announces two positions in the College of Education and Human Development within the Department of Recreation, Parks and Tourism, for tenure track assistant professors.
These are 9-month positions with responsibilities for teaching, advising, university service, and professional contributions. Some teaching in evenings/weekends and off-campus may be expected. Knowledge of new curricular trends and experience and interest in working with multicultural students and faculty are preferred.
Applicants are expected to teach in the core curriculum and one or more of the following concentrations: outdoor recreation and leadership or recreation therapy. Applicants must be able to lead and supervise field experiences, advise students, and maintain an active role in scholarship and service to the profession and university community. Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence and at least one degree in Recreation, Parks and Tourism (or related field) required. Evidence of interdisciplinary collaboration, experience with diverse populations, and earned doctorate preferred, ABD considered.
