Working with the Football operations staff and reporting to the Assistant Athletics Director of Football Operations, the individual serving in this position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:
Supervise incoming student-athletes in the areas of housing, meals, dorm security and curfew.
Perform recruiting support and responsibilities as assigned to meet the objectives of the university and team, including establishing relationships with prospective student-athletes.
Liaison between football staff and campus faculty for individual and group meetings for official and unofficial visits.
Provide in-depth tours of campus for prospective student-athletes, parents and high profile members of Pirate Football Interest.
Secure and organize all aspects of prospective student-athletes visits (transportation, meals, housing, etc.).
Supervise current student-athletes hosting prospective student-athletes.
During team travel, responsible for student-athletes attendance at mandatory events (travel to bus/plane, meal locations, roll call, room key assignment, etc.).
Planning of team meals for home games and snacks for all road games.
Manage all paperwork for incoming student-athletes, including admissions, housing, financial aid, NCAA eligibility and NCAA clearinghouse data.
Coordinate securing, evaluating and filing of transcripts for selected prospects in collaboration with Student Development and Compliance.
Responsible for gathering information and updating the PSA (Prospective Student Athlete) Tracking system.
Maintain team CARA/practice logs and assist with team rosters for NCAA compliance.
Assist the Assistant Director of Athletics for Football Operations with all staff/team calendars for the Academic Year.
Organize and distribute practice guest list to Football Operation Staff and the Head Football Coach.
Perform duties with professional conduct representing the university and athletics department and provide leadership cultivating an environment of compliance, performance excellence, respect, and student-athlete well-being.
Abide by all written policies, procedures and guidelines of East Carolina University, the Department of Athletics, the University of North Carolina System, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), and all applicable conferences or associations.
Build quality relationships and work collaboratively and professionally with athletics, Pirate Club and University staff, students, and all constituencies and stakeholders.
Perform other duties as assigned by Head Football Coach or the Assistant Athletics Director of Football Operations.
A Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution is required.
Qualifying degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions and conferred by the time of hire.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Previous football experience in coaching or administration at the high school, college or professional level
Experience with Hudl Recruit Software
Experience with Recruiting Radar or a similar recruiting database
