The University Athletic Association (UAA) is looking for a positive and passionate individual that is committed to becoming a group sales leader in the sports and entertainment industry. The Group Sales Representative responsibilities will include generating new revenue and renewing current business through the selling of group tickets and group sales programs for Florida Gators athletics. Revenue will be generated primarily by creating relationships via inbound/outbound calls and executing face-to-face meetings; with a concentration on group sales for football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball, and gymnastics. These calls will be supplemented using emails and other marketing efforts. Day to day leadership and mentoring will be provided by the Gators Ticket Office Leadership Team. Inventory which is available for sale includes, but not limited to: Group Tickets and Premium Group Seating Areas.
A Bachelor’s Degree and experience with group sales and with the Ticketmaster Archtics ticketing system is preferred. Proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook) is required. A passion for building relationships with people and natural customer service instincts as well as a positive team centric attitude with a professional demeanor is essential to this position. Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary. The ability to work a non-standard work schedule which will include nights, weekends and holidays is mandatory. Some overnight travel may be required.
