The Ticket Sales and Operations Assistant should be a self-starter who will assist in generating revenue through outbound sales campaigns that focus on the sale of all ticketed GW Athletics events. This position will also assist with day-to-day operations for GW Volleyball, Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Gymnastics, and Baseball. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Make a required minimum of outbound sales calls and face to face appointments with the goal of maximizing ticket revenue and continuously soliciting new business for George Washington Athletics ticket sales
Identify, explore and research new sales opportunities to include season ticket and group sales target markets to meet the established sales objectives through structured solicitation and provide recommendations to Ticket Office on promotions, sales strategies and community ticket/ sampling programs etc.
Track and report daily, weekly and monthly sales figures and relevant accountability reports
Fulfillment of season and single game ticket orders
Assist with ticket reconciliation, cash management, data entry, event operations, and player guest management
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Ability to work 20 hours per week, including nights and weekends; A degree in business, communications, sports marketing or related field; Proficiency in MS Word and Excel; Organized team player with the ability to handle multiple assignments, work independently and demonstrate flexibility and creative problem solving skills in a fast paced environment; Excellent verbal communication skills with a friendly and professional telephone manner.
