The Pennsylvania State University at Abington is seeking a full-time Head Baseball Coach to administer all aspects of a competitive NCAA Division III baseball program. Duties include but are not limited to: identify, recruit and retain qualified student-athletes; hire and supervise part-time Assistant Coaches, establish a competitive schedule; plan team travel; coordinate practice plans to foster skill development; design coaching strategies to prepare team for competition; establish and enforce rules of conduct; support community service efforts; demonstrate a commitment to diversity; mentor student-athletes to foster athletic, academic, emotional, and social growth; collaborate with athletic and University units to include admissions, financial aid, medical services, academic support, student-athlete services, compliance office; demonstrate adherence to University, North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC), and NCAA rules and regulations. Other duties may be assigned to this position. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum Qualifications: Intercollegiate coaching experience; demonstrated knowledge of all phases of the game; CPR/First Aid/AED certified or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree plus intercollegiate coaching experience; experience as a head coach. Must have flexibility to work evenings, weekends, travel with team and holidays. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks. This is fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding. This is an 83.3% full-time equivalency (FTE) job.
