Franklin Pierce University is seeking an enthusiastic individual for the position of Head Coach for our Women’s Crew Team. As an integral member of the Athletics Coaching staff, this position reports directly to the Athletic Director. This position is a part-time, 10 month position that has reporting responsibilities to the Director of Athletics.In this program, the Head Coach is responsible for all aspects of the program development for the Crew program within institutional, conference and NCAA Division II regulations. Qualified candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree but a Master’s would be preferred. Previous leadership and supervisory experience is preferred, as well as experience with coaching at the college level is required. The individual must possess good organizational, oral and written communication skills. Recruiting skills are essential in this role so the successful candidate will possess knowledge of athletic recruitment methods and techniques, and financial/business analysis techniques. An in-depth knowledge of NCAA regulations and guidelines governing the recruitment and retention of student-athletes is required. Skills in budget preparation and management strongly preferred. As this position requires extensive travel, the applicant must have the ability to pass a background check and travel for the University and possess a clean and valid driver’s license. Must also demonstrate ability to work cooperatively with students and diverse groups of faculty and staff is required.
