Cornell University invites applications for the full-time position of Assistant Track & Field Coach. Responsibilities and duties are as follows: Assist the head coaches (women & men) in the planning and operation of the women's & men's programs. Expertise desired in the jumping events (Long Jump, Triple Jump, High Jump, Pole Vault). Assist with practice and competition; preparation as assigned; monitor event and competition/track meet safety, evaluate performances, make recommendations to the head coaches regarding individual participation in competitions. Identify, encourage and evaluate application and acceptance of student athletes at Cornell in accordance with the Ivy League, NCAA and University policies as assigned by the head coaches. Plan, lead and develop strategies for one week summer track/field camp. Expertise in and experience coaching all the Jump events.
Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years’ experience or equivalent combination.
Prior coaching or competitive experience in NCAA Division I preferred.
Level 1 or Level 2 Certification recommended.
Strength and Conditioning certification recommended.
Must be highly motivated with an outstanding work ethic and relentless recruiter.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Demonstrated high ethical standards in all aspects of professional career.
Knowledgeable of NCAA rules.
