Responsible for coordinating the programming to enhance the focus areas within Student-Athlete Development of: career development, leadership development, community outreach, and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
60% - Essential - Career Development: Creates, organizes, and executes career development programs for Clemson student-athletes. Builds relationships with student-athletes, coaches, administrators, and the Michelin Career Center to educate and offer developmental programs for student-athletes. Advises individual student-athletes to promote career readiness. Collaborates with other members of the Student-Athlete Development staff for program creation, facilitation, and implementation. Researches opportunities, curriculum, best practices, and trends to provide cutting-edge programming. Develops and implements assessment tools to measure and record program and service effectiveness. Oversees a graduate-assistant and student workers for career development initiatives.
15% - Essential - Student-Athlete Advisory Committee: Co-advises and provides guidance and direction to the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) along with the Director of Student-Athlete Development. Organizes and supports SAAC programming initiatives through coordinating with SAAC Executive, creating agendas and supporting SAAC subcommittees. Coordinates SAAC meals. Communicates with senior administrators to promote student-athlete well-being and enhance communication between student-athletes and administration.
15% - Essential - Miscellaneous Duties: Adheres to Clemson purchasing processes and assist in compliance with department budget. Oversees 3-4 teams as the liaison to the Student-Athlete Development department to build relationships with student athletes, coaches and athletics staff. Communicates with participants and other stakeholders to promote engagement in Student-Athlete Development programs. Provides recruiting talks to unofficial and official recruits and families visiting Clemson. Attends and supports additional Student-Athlete Development programs, including the Clemson Welcome Back Picnic, freshman programs, community service and SAAC initiatives as needed, etc.
10% - Essential - Leadership Development: Assists in the development of leadership development programming. Supports the Tiger Leadership Academy to provide career guidance and direction to the programs third year students in an organizational leadership context. Collaborates with other member of Student-Athlete Development staff for program creation and implementation. Assists in the development and implementation of new and cutting edge programs.
A bachelor's degree and experience in student services programs.
