Bridgewater State University, located in Bridgewater, MA and a member of the MASCAC and Division III, is accepting applications for the position of Graduate Assistant for Student Athlete Academic Support and Leadership Development. Under the direction of the Associate Director of Athletics for Academic Support and Compliance, this GA is responsible for providing academic support and guidance to at-risk student-athletes as well as assisting in the development and implementation of student-athlete leadership programs. •Provide one-to-one academic support for at-risk student-athletes•Communicate with head coaches regarding academics, workshop development and leadership programming for student-athletes• Assist in the coordination and implementation of the Student-Athlete Freshman Workshop and Bear Up! Sophomore leadership programs.•In collaboration with the Office of Career Services, coordinate and implement the Career Bear Workshop series for Junior and Senior Student-athletes•Coordinate the Student-Athlete Peer Mentor program.•Assist in NCAA Compliance efforts as needed•Communicate and cooperate effectively with Athletic Department staff, University employees and students to accomplish the mission of the Department and University.•Assist the Office of Equal Opportunity /Title IX Coordinator office as a responsible employee with regard to incidents of sexual or gender-based harm or discrimination.
