Duke University is accepting applications for the position of assistant rowing coach. This is a full-time position. Under the supervision of the head coach, the assistant coach has primarily responsibility for recruitment, development, and on the water coaching of our walk-on student-athletes. Additionally, the assistant coach will assist with recruiting, travel, trailer driving, rigging, organizing travel logistics, and any other tasks assigned by the head coach.
Bachelor’s degree or higher is required. Intercollegiate racing experience is preferred. Four or more years of coaching experience, in a competitive environment, is preferred. The successful candidate will have a solutions and team oriented attitude, and the ability to motivate and inspire Duke student athletes. Experience rigging, trailer driving, minor boat repairs, engine knowledge and exemplary organization is beneficial.
The desired start date for the position is July 1, 2017.
