| Our Boating Instructor will create and teach curriculum for children, aged from 4 to 15, on beautiful 350 acre Lake Massapoag. You will be responsible for teaching the fundamentals of boating while keeping it fun, diverse, educational and age-appropriate. You will be responsible for running 35 minute activity periods for groups of around 15 children at a time, assisted by 1 or 2 of their counselors. The Boating Instructor position is perfectly suited to a student or teacher (or similar) who has some boating experience. We will provide free Red Cross lifeguard certification for the right Boating Instructor candidate (worth $500 and transferable to other jobs) in addition to boating instruction training (canoe, kayak and SUP). The upkeep and basic maintenance of the lakefront beach area and docks is also part of the job. You may also be required to assist with other waterfront activities, including lifeguarding. You will be supported by a Waterfront Director, who will provide guidance and feedback throughout the summer. Equal Opportunity Employer. |
DATES, HOURS AND BENEFITS
9:00am to 3:30pm (this includes a 30 minute break per day) June 26th to Aug 25th (9 wks, preferred) or Aug 18th (8 wks) and hours are guaranteed. Mon to Fri each week except for July 4th when we are closed. Salary range is $2300 and up for 9 weeks of work. Extra income can be made (up to $700), working as a Bus Counselor or Extended Day staff. Free BBQ lunch every Friday and free daily snacks.

Everwood Day Camp is an outdoor focused summer camp featuring many physically demanding activities on land and water. Staff members are regularly required to walk, hike and otherwise move in woods, fields, beaches, and lakes. In order to perform the job, each staff member of Everwood Day Camp must be physically able to travel around a large rural environment (fields, woods, beach, etc.) over uneven ground on a regular basis.
