| JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES |
1. FIRST CONTACT - The Director of Client Relations will serve as the first contact with potential customers. This involves communicating with prospects and their families via text, e-mail, social media, and phone to establish a line of communication, develop a working relationship, and portray a positive image of STUDENTathleteWorld Tours / STUDENTathleteWorld. This involves using an on-line database manager called Pipedrive to manage these contacts and the process and format of connecting with them. The purpose of the connection is to find out which business is the right fit for the athlete and prep them for the next steps.
2. DATABASE MAINTENANCE – The Tours business has a detailed application process and the Director of Client Relations with be in charge of helping athletes navigate their on-line application portals. This involves constant communication with potential clients to get videos and letters of recommendation uploaded to their profile and to schedule formal interview times with the Director of International Tours, Richie Schueler.
3. SOCIAL MEDIA - The Director of Client Relations will be the face of the businesses on Social Media and use these accounts to communicate with current customers and also to find and interact with new potential customers. They will develop an on-line ‘personality’ of the businesses that matches our mission statements.
4. OTHER DUTIES - The Director of Client Relations will also be asked to perform many duties as assigned. The include, among others, working with high school athletes in the recruiting process, traveling on foreign tours as assigned, cold calling prospects, etc.

The two separate companies work together to serve the same customer base; athletes ages 12-24 and their families. STUDENTathleteWorld was founded in 2009 and helps college athletes navigate the college athletic recruiting process. STUDENTathleteWorldTours was founded in 2014 and takes youth, high school, and collegiate athletes on foreign sports tours. The companies operate remotely with two main locations. Tim Ryerson is the owner and founder and lives outside Raleigh, NC. Richie Schueler, is a co-owner in the Tours business and lives outside Los Angeles, CA. In addition to the owners, there are 10-20 licensees who serve as independent contractors in the Recruiting business that work in areas across the World. Despite the small staff and lack of a physical location, both companies have had tremendous success since their creation and combined did over $1 million in sales in 2016, and are on pace to do $1.5 million in 2017. We have become important players in our two different industries and our national and international brand awareness is at an all-time high. Our past clients love us and our testimonials speak to that. The future is bright and we are only getting started!

STUDENTathleteWorld Tours and STUDENTathleteWorld are unique by design. We are not corporate America. We are not an app. We are not a marketing machine. We also are not a local mom and pop shop either! We are two former college coaches who have unique talents, connections, and passions. In eight years we have never hired a full time salary position. For this position we have great expectations. We want someone that we see growing with our company. We want someone that can communicate very well to make up for the fact that we will operate from three different physical locations. We also want someone that shares our passions for what we do and can add to the positivity and excitement of our work environment. We want someone who can come up with new ideas and implement them without having to have their hand held. It also is important to us that the person filling this role has an “I'll find a way and get it done" approach to work. We have been successful living on opposite sides of the country because we both are "just get it done" type of people. Our approaches might differ, but we both bring value through that approach. We want this positions to live, learn, adapt, try, try again, get better, do, move one, etc. A willingness to grow personally and professionally is an absolute expectation of working with us. This involves learning new techniques, reading and researching better ways to solve problems, and have a passion for being the absolute best at what we do.

STUDENTathleteWorldTours.com - It is the mission of STUDENTathleteWorld Tours to provide opportunities for young athletes of various ages to represent their country in international athletic competition while gaining a broader perspective of the world through overseas travel. Our goal is to select young men and women of high character who successfully portray their country to the highest degree in the sport that they love. Additionally, we target leadership development while aiming for our travelers to formulate strong cultural understandings and appreciation of their surroundings. We believe that these experiences provide opportunities for personal growth and have long-lasting effects on the development of young lives.
STUDENTathleteWorld.com - STUDENTathleteWorld’s mission is to provide a valuable service to our customers to help them through the college athletic recruiting process by sharing our collective knowledge and processes that will assist in an athlete’s recruitment. Our goal is to ease our client’s fears of the process, be trustworthy and helpful, and demonstrate value to the customers through our time and effort. While part of our value includes helping clients get recruited and connecting them with scholarships, we will shy away from being called a “college placement service” or a “college coaches network”. We will always be realistic and honest about the competiveness of athletic scholarships and the role any third party will play in the process. Our ultimate goal is to over serve our clients through education and communication so that they will have the best opportunities and options available to them to chase their academic and athletic goals in college.
