The Elite Clubs National League is now accepting applications for the position of ECNL Intern. The ECNL Intern is an internship position based out of the ECNL office in Richmond, VA and will serve in a support capacity for league operations and event activations, league communications and marketing projects, as well as other duties assigned by the ECNL Commissioner.
The Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) is a non-profit member-based organization founded in 2009 to enhance the developmental experience of both female and male (Boys ECNL) youth soccer players in the United States through:
Improving the competitive environment through creation of a true national competitive league with multiple flights;
Improving the process for identifying elite female soccer players for the U.S. Soccer youth national teams through a systematic scouting and identification program based on national competitions; and
Improving the daily training environment at top female youth soccer clubs through developing best practices and training and organizational guidelines for its member clubs.
The goal of the ECNL is to change the landscape for elite female and male (Boys ECNL) soccer players in the United States through innovative, player-centered programming and to enhance the overall experience by creating a better, more enjoyable, and more successful player, coach, and club development model.
Start Date: June 1, 2017
Duration: 40 hours per week, 12 months
Assist in all aspects of event operations for ECNL National Events, and other ECNL programs and initiatives as directed by the Program Manager
Assist with day-to-day needs, including but not limited to receiving and organizing inventory, product shipment, and site research
Assist in all aspects of league communications and marketing which may include social media creative planning and execution, social media execution, marketing for future initiatives and more as directed by the Communications Manager
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited four-year institution, preferably in the sports management field.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
Working knowledge of computers and computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite
Working knowledge of social media platforms including but not limited to: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat
Must be comfortable speaking with internal and external staff & partners, as well as member club contacts on a regular basis
Exceptional understanding and ability to maximize departmental goals for onsite activations of ECNL National Events and other initiatives
Ability to work independently and show initiative
Must be available to work extended hours and weekends.
Must have a valid driver’s license

In executing this mission, the league has created the top female youth club competition in the world, player identifi...cation and development programs across the country, player health, education and performance platforms online and at ECNL events nationally, and club development and coaching education programs with experts from around the globe. GOAL: The goal of the Elite Clubs National League is to change the landscape for elite female soccer players in the United States through innovative, player-centered programming and to enhance the overall experience by creating a better, more enjoyable, and more successful player, coach, and club development model.
IMPLEMENTATION: The ECNL is led by a Board of Directors elected by the member clubs. Day-to-day operations are managed by the ECNL Commissioner. The ECNL has four primary platforms:
The Competition Platform;
The Player Identification Platform;
The Club and Coach Development Platform, and
The H.E.R. Platform (a female-specific "Health & Education Resources" Platform).
