The University of Tennessee Foundation seeks to fill a position for an Assistant or Associate Director of Capital Support for UT Knoxville Athletics. The Assistant/Associate Director of Capital Support serves as a full-time fundraiser for the University of Tennessee Athletic Department/Tennessee Fund with the primary responsibility to secure major gifts. Additionally, this position will oversee other capital support projects as designated. Reporting to the Assistant Athletic Director for Development, the Assistant/Associate Director will work collaboratively with the development team.
Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree is required, Master’s preferred. A minimum of one to three years of development, marketing or sales related experience is required. The level of the position will be commensurate with the number of years of experience. The Assistant Director being a minimum of one year and the Associate Director being a minimum of three years of the experience outlined. Intercollegiate athletics development experience is preferred. The ability and willingness to travel is required.
Skills: Excellent computer, phone, and demonstrated organizational skills necessary. Ticketing software knowledge preferred. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations preferred. In addition, the position involves the ability to work independently, build relationships and solicit gifts.
