Department of Athletics - Ticket Office
The Service and Retention Team members are many times the first FSU Athletics Department staff to interact with customers during the purchase and donation process. Team members are responsible for the overall fan experience, and are a major generator of revenue for the department. Professional and enthusiastic attitudes are necessary qualities a participant must possess. Customer Service and Retention apprenticeship participants will gain knowledge in the areas of customer relations, donor relations, ticket priority, operations, and sales techniques applicable to college and professional athletics. The Florida State Athletic Sales & Service Department promises you one of the best hands-on apprentice experiences available. With a rigorous curriculum, the apprenticeship program was created to give you the tools and skill set needed to succeed in a collegiate or professional athletic environment. The program consists of four parts: Training; creating, executing, and directing the fan service gameday initiative; overseeing the recent graduate program; and creating and implementing initiatives to further the customer experience at FSU.
Applicants must be a college graduate from a four-year institution by the start of the post-graduate apprenticeship program on June 12th, 2017. Previous experience working in a sales or customer service environment is preferred but not required. The Florida State Athletics Customer Service and Retention Apprenticeship participant is expected to maintain a high level of professionalism in all operative functions. Anticipated apprenticeship start date is June 12th, 2017 with an end date of May 25th, 2018.
Approximately 25 hours per week.
