| Averett University, founded in 1859, located in Danville, VA, an NCAA Division III institution and member of the USA South Athletic Conference, invites applications for the full-time position as Head Baseball Coach. The head coach will be responsible for management of all aspects of this Division III program including, but not limited to: day-to-day operations; scheduling of contests; recruitment and retention of quality student-athletes; fiscal planning; game strategy including practice and game coaching; supervising and evaluating of assistant coaches, and donor, alumni, community, video editing software, and media relations. |
The successful candidate must be able to develop positive relationships with faculty, staff, students, media, alumni, parents, and donors while interacting successfully with department personnel and the University community. The head coach must conduct a Baseball program in compliance with all NCAA, USA South Conference and the University’s rules, regulations and values. There will be secondary duties assigned by the Director of Athletics. The Baseball program must also be one that is in concert with the University’s mission and goals, in which student-athletes graduate and achieve competitive success.
